Leave Khowarib Lodge with guide and back up staff and head north to Opuwo. Mix with the Himba and Herero women in this bustling market town. Continue onto Ruacana and camp by the Kunene river on the Angolan border. After breakfast, drive west along the Kunene to Swartbooisdrift and visit the Dorsland Trekkers Monument. Camp by the Kunene. Day 3, drive through spectacular scenery enjoying the palm trees along the banks of the river. Possible crocodile sightings and many interesting birding opportunities. Arrive at Epupa Falls and have a sundowner on the observation point overlooking the falls. Camping at Epupa. Day 4. Drive south through Okongwati and Opuwo and visit a Himba settlement. Arrive back at Khowarib for dinner.
